Livestock Shelter Set Up & Animal Handling and First Aid

Learn about taking vital signs (temperature, pulse and respiration rate) and general animal first aid. In-person pending covid restrictions. Work gloves recommended for panel set up. These skills will help you become a more active partner with your veterinarian, and are required for some shelter, SIP and evacuation volunteers. Those wanting to fulfill a role where you will be working hands on with animals are required to take this course, however it’s encouraged for all volunteers.
