Required for those interested in evacuation and shelter in place, but encouraged for all volunteers, especially those working in shelters, as radios will be used in various roles.  This will be a collaborative training between Napa CART and Napa CERT. All-Hazards Health & Safety Awareness

This 2-hour class covers basic safety and situational awareness in Wild land and Suburban fire, flood, earthquake and other disasters. Other topics include natural/propane gas, power line and hazardous material safety. Enrollment is open to anyone interested in Volunteer Disaster Service Work, stable farm, sanctuary, animal shelter, other facility managers and workers, and anyone interested in being safer during and after a disaster. Learn to take an animal’s temperature, pulse, respiration rate and use a stethoscope to listen to heart, lungs, and digestive system.
